Flooring Installation in Jacksonville NC & Onslow County
Flooring is the finish that everybody sees and the one most often installed over a problem nobody looked at. In coastal North Carolina that problem is almost always moisture: humid crawlspaces, exterior walls that have been wicking water for years, and subfloor that has quietly gone soft under a bathroom.
Parade Rest Services is a licensed, bonded and insured NC General Contractor serving Jacksonville, Richlands, Swansboro and the surrounding communities. We install luxury vinyl plank, tile, hardwood and engineered flooring, and because we hold a general contractor's license we can repair what is underneath rather than working around it.

Why Coastal Homes Are Harder on Floors
A house in Onslow County deals with high humidity most of the year, and that humidity gets into the crawlspace and into the subfloor. Materials that would be perfectly stable inland can cup, gap or buckle here. Solid hardwood is the usual casualty, but so is any floating floor installed without the right expansion gap.
The other repeat offender is water that arrived from above. Homes with a history of roof leaks or failed flashing frequently have subfloor damage that only becomes visible when the old flooring comes up. If your ceiling has ever stained, mention it before the estimate rather than after.
Flooring as Part of a Larger Project
Most of our flooring work happens inside a bigger scope. A kitchen remodel or bathroom remodel involves flooring by definition, and a home addition or sunroom needs the new floor to meet the existing one cleanly.
Running that through one contractor matters more than it sounds. When flooring is a separate trade hired separately, it shows up before the plumbing is finished or after the cabinets are set, and somebody ends up cutting around something they should have gone under. Under a single general contractor, the sequence is planned once.
What We Install
- Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) — waterproof, humidity-stable, and the practical default for most homes here
- Tile — porcelain and ceramic over proper underlayment and waterproofing membrane, for bathrooms, laundry rooms, entries and mudrooms
- Engineered hardwood — real wood wear layer on a dimensionally stable core, a good compromise in this climate
- Solid hardwood — where the home and the homeowner's expectations suit it
- Subfloor repair and replacement — rot removal, structural repair and leveling, handled in-house
Honest Pricing and a Written Scope
Every estimate is line-itemed: material, labor, subfloor preparation, disposal and trim. If we find rot after demolition that could not be seen beforehand, you get a photograph and a price before we proceed, not a surprise at invoicing.
If the project is larger than the budget allows right now, we will tell you what to do first. Sometimes that is stabilizing the subfloor and living with the old floor another year. We would rather stage the work honestly than sell you a floor that fails.
Call (910) 459-5078 or request an estimate and we will come look at what is under your floor before anyone talks about what goes on top of it.
